Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement Class
Awareness Through Movement (ATM) is a guided movement lesson that uses gentle, exploratory sequences to improve awareness, coordination, flexibility, and ease of movement. Participants are verbally guided through slow, comfortable movements while paying attention to sensations, effort, breathing, and organization throughout the body. Rather than stretching or strengthening through force, ATM lessons invite the nervous system to discover new possibilities for movement, often resulting in greater comfort, efficiency, balance, and well-being. Lessons are typically done lying down, sitting, standing, or moving through simple functional actions, and are accessible to people of many ages and abilities.
